Driver

We are looking for motivated individuals with excellent interpersonal skills to deliver best-in-class products in an fast paced environment. At Kramer & Leonard we work as a team to provide businesses in Northwest Indiana office products: copiers, furniture, and supplies. Our line of products and services include top of the line furniture from Herman Miller as well as copiers from Sharp Electronics.

As a Driver you will be a part of a team of professionals delivering products and services highly valued in the business world. As such, we have a desire to find those who strive to be the best. If you have the following qualifications, we want to hear from you:
 

Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

·  Complete deliveries on schedule and interface with customers effectively.

·  Assist in loading and unloading of vehicle.

·  Verify order to ensure correct products loaded and shipped.

·  Meet all company standards.

·  Conduct daily preventive maintenance checks daily prior to beginning deliveries.

·  All other tasks as assigned.

Nature and Scope

·  Typically reports to Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor or manager.

·  This position has no direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications

·  Must be eighteen years of age or older.

·  Must pass a drug test prior to employment.

·  Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions: rain, cold, heat, snow, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

·  Ability to safely drive trucks

·  Ability to load and unload truck and be responsible for the condition of merchandise upon delivery.

·  Ability to report logistics information showing delivery locations, time spent, and distance traveled.

·  Clean driving record particularly a driving record with no serious or habitual infractions nor a driving record with any misdemeanors or felonies.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies

·  Knowledge of the local driving area and map reading.

·  Indiana Chauffeurs license will be required soon after hiring.

·  Strong customer service and problem solving skills.

·  Strong interpersonal and oral communications skills.
